BDC Gives Recognition and Plans for New Training and Business Development Center

As winters end draws near, we are reminded of the past year and how the effects of the pandemic have reverberated throughout the business and the community. It has been difficult year, with many challenges but we have persisted and proven to be a great team that can achieve great things!

One of the main points of recognition would be with our LDF Country Market Team who have stepped up and gone above and beyond on the frontlines. They have ensured that our families and community members have been able to have continued access to their grocery and fuel needs. It has definitely been a challenging time with the adjustment to the new store and operations along with the Covid-19 precautions. However, the team has been able to grow and continues to show dedication. With the release of the vaccination and continued developments with the pandemic, our store has been able offer more services to its customers. As they advance to open fully, reviews of the Country Market are continuing to ensure that any changes that need to be made structurally or operationally are done to reduce risk and increase productivity and efficiency.

The LDF Business Development Corp in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration has also been continuing their progress on clearing the property to begin building the LDF Workforce Training and Business Development Center. Construction is set to start this spring, and the building will house the Business Development Corp, LDF Holdings, LDF Construction, and Training Facilities in total. The new facility will bring more resources and better connectivity to help the business succeed. It will also allow the tribe to progress further and provide the community with more steady streams of revenue and employment.
